The Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA) announced their winners for 2019 this Sunday, with Parasite emerged victorious, winning the awards for Best Film, Best Director for Bong Joon-ho, and Best Supporting Actor for Song Kang-ho. Other acting winners included Antonio Banderas, Mary Kay Place, and Jennifer Lopez.
Correlation between Best Film at LAFCA and Best Picture at the Oscars has been off and on this decade, with shared winners like Spotlight and Moonlight but also many divergences.
