The Screen Actors Guild announced their awards for the best acting in film and television of 2018 Sunday night at the SAG Awards. Black Panther walked away with the Best Ensemble prize, while Rami Malek, Glenn Close, and Mahershala Ali extended their winning streaking in their respective categories. The one big surprise on the film side was Emily Blunt winning Best Supporting Actress for A Quiet Place, considering she wasn’t even nominated at the Oscars. Good news for Regina King? We shall see.
On the TV side, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel swept all three of its comedy categories. The limited series/movie races were more of the same from what we’ve seen at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards, with Darren Criss and Patricia Arquette winning. The drama side went to three different shows: This Is Us for Best Ensemble, Sandra Oh for Killing Eve in Female Actor and Jason Bateman for Ozark in Male Actor.
